Like many educators today I am afraid that the current model of accountability solely through multiple choice tests is possibly creating a generation of students who are great test-takers, but lacking necessary critical-thinking career skills. With that in mind I am always excited to see students challenge themselves to create content that will do more than just produce a higher test score.
School 2.0 is definitely an example of students challenging themselves to do just this. Consisting of a collection of high school students located throughout the world, School 2.0 is a student-centered blogging project giving students a voice in determining the design of their own education. When you have a moment take a look at their work, watch the YouTube video, and prepare for the launch.
