I saw this commerical for the first time this morning as I was heading out the door.  It made me laugh out loud, probably because for the past few months I have spent every Monday night at district strategic planning meetings.  More than once I’ve heard a similar sentiment from educators who probably should have moved on to greener pastures a long time ago.  While we should never throw out effective past practices, I am a firm believer that education as a whole needs a little innovation right now.  If you talk to your students they’ll whole-heartedly agree as well.
