The XO arrived this afternoon via FedEx. So far I am kind of impressed. Its a dandy little machine and kind of reminds me of a V-Tech mini computer that does more than play Winnie the Pooh cards. Its a little slow on the Internet, but pretty decent given the specs. Considering it costs a tenth of the cost of my MacBook Pro, its pretty darn great!
Being a Mac/Windows user the operating system interface isn’t automatically intuitive to me, but I am learning. One thing I learned very quickly, the buttons at the top of the keyboard help you navigate quite a bit.
More information to come… I am being told its time for dinner already!

Didn’t know there was a wiki for these. Still havent gotten it to work yet though. Guess my Linux skills are not so good.
Yea. At home I got it connected via an encrypted WEP without a problem. At school we have WPA and I haven’t had time to fiddle with the patch to make it work until the full update comes out. I know of another one in Modesto, so perhaps the three of us can get together and make our own mesh network.
Mine came today, although I didn’t know it was coming. I was shocked at the size of the box. Have had some difficulties connecting to my WPA network and I am still working on that. Will have to get together and try the mesh network.
