AMA Superbike Movie

After my Facebook and Twitter status updates yesterday I have received a few requests to post the video I am showing in class today.  Its just a short, almost 3 minute movie about the AMA Superbike Race at Laguna Seca that I made in the car on the way home last night.

A few of you who are now stumbling across this might wonder why I even went to the trouble to make it or show it in class.  Well, I find that many of my students do not have the same opportunities to see and experience the world as I did as a child or am now doing as an adult.  When I am lucky enough to attend an event or visit a location that I think my students would find interesting or engaging, I always look for a method to share my experience.  My Mr. Wood is in London blog is a perfect example.

Enjoy the video and if you ever have a few photos to share dump them in iMovie.  With a few short steps you can have a product just like this.  If you are thinking, “Yeah right…I have no idea how to make something like this,” leave a comment or send me an email.  We can sit down and I will show you how easy iMovie really is.

Thanks for making this video. Like your students, I’ve never been to a motorcycle race. But, thanks to your video, I’ve virtually been to one.
