This morning started my Sacramento to Modesto commute. I don’t know how long-term commuters do it. There are only so many podcasts and NPR stories I can listen to until my ADHD kicks in. Fortunately, only 71 more days to go. icon smile 40 Years Ago Today...

On my drive down this morning I heard on NPR that 40 years ago today Mr. Rogers aired for the first time. Click on this link to listen yourself and maybe share with your advisory students. As one of my favorite childhood shows the story made my eyes a little watery – or perhaps it was just the headlights from other cars.

i, too, loved Mr. Rogers. well, hated him until my son came along. Then, magic happened as we sat on the couch to watch together. what a wonderful man and a fine show. the kingdom of make believe was a bit over the top, though.

thanks for sharing, joe.

Joe I also have a rather lengthy commute and it does indeed wear on you. You really have to be where you want to be when it comes to living outside of work….So, it does get better and easier………..but not cheaper! I do not envy your freeway commute….Mine is different as in intense road rally!!!
